   Holiday Events

NEWSIllinois Historic Preservation Agency

This page is dedicated to the holiday events held at Illinois' State Historic Sites. Include a little history in your seasonal observances this year by visiting special holiday celebrations held at Illinois’ state historic sites. Take in the sites and experience how the holiday season was observed in previous centuries. Have traditions changed much? What kind of food was prepared? These and other questions can be answered by taking an educational and inspriational tour through one of Illinois' treasures. Below are links to the individual press releases issued this year. At the bottom of this page is a master list of all the 2005 events. Enjoy your holiday season! For detailed information please contact David Blanchette at (217) 558-0516.
